Stuffed baked apples dessert recipe

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 45 minutes
Serving: 8 portions
Ingredients
-8 large cooking apples
-100g dried mixed fruits
-50g brown sugar
-4 tbsp golden syrup
-1 tsp ground ginger
-50g butter
Method
-Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes
-Core the apples
-Use the tip of a sharp knife to slit the skin around the centre of the apples (This will ensure that the apples do not burst during the cooking process)
-Mix the sugar with the fruit and then stuff into each apple
-Drizzle a teaspoon of golden syrup over each apple
-Sprinkle a small amount of ginger over each stuffed apple and top with a teaspoon of butter
-Place the apples in an ovenproof dish and bake for 45 minutes

-Once ready, remove from oven and serve immediately in individual bowls with custard
